Environmental Management
Scott Wilson’s Environment team provides sustainable solutions
to meet our clients’ many needs. We focus particularly on the
formulation and appraisal of policy, on development projects and on
the management of existing businesses, industry and estates.
In the development sector we have expertise on a full range of
development types from major infrastructure schemes (ports, roads,
airports, bridges, railways etc) to residential projects to natural
environmental improvement schemes. Almost all development
projects have an impact on the environment and the challenge to
developers is to deliver the requirements of a scheme while
controlling adverse effects. To achieve this, a special
understanding is required of how the scheme will be built and
operated, the sensitivity of the local environment, and how it will
be affected.
Full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a pre-requisite
for planning consent. Over the past two decades Scott Wilson
has used EIA to inform design and promote sustainable land and
property use. Our environmental professionals have a
comprehensive range of relevant expertise and work closely with our
planners and engineers to provide integrated advice for
developers. We specialise in delivering clients’ aspirations
through negotiation and relationship building with local and
national bodies while maintaining independence and
objectivity.
Protection of the environment is an important and accepted part
of business and industry operations. Organisations must
account for their environment and social performance and seek
continuous improvement. We provide support across a range of
environmental and social issues faced by business, industry and
landowners and their supply chains.
